To help form the basis of its AUC library, MGI is using the comprehensive, evidence-based guidelines developed by eviCore healthcare as a starting point for its development process. While the MGI autonomous multidisciplinary team will have full independence to amend, update and expand the criteria as they see fit, the eviCore guidelines will form a robust foundation from which the MGI team can start its work.
eviCore has two decades of experience creating evidence-based medical guidelines. Its criteria address nearly all commonly seen clinical scenarios, and they are derived from leading specialty societies including the American College of Radiology (ACR), the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and many others. The AUC also incorporate recommendations from current peer-reviewed medical literature. Additionally, eviCore seeks input from panels of renowned subject matter expert clinicians, many of whom are associated with prestigious academic institutions as well as community-based physicians. eviCore’s own AUC team is physician-led with its decisions based solely on medical appropriateness and patient safety.
